A Mid-Summer Thought
You can smell a slight hint of fall crisp in the early morning air and I am eager for the seasons change. August is here and we have so many stale hot days to make it through in the south before the winds blow colder. Although, this heat makes it hard for us to find beauty or meaning in the dog days of summer, the wood line shows purple and green treasure hanging in vines tangled through the tree line. A reminder even the burn out has its glory & growth.
On the 10th I celebrate my 37th birthday and with that I hope to drop more seed of passion and pursuit. I don’t know what the cool change will bring but I know that I will continue to take root… and you will too.
Growth
Passion in Flora, pain in the pistil.
Purple to bone, like a cruel love song.
No thorns on the vine, but they twist up the spine.
Choke out the trash, then you’ll grow en masse.
Seeds in the fruit, gotta fall to take root.
Passiflora edulis
